Dear Lord Jesus
WHAT PEOPLE ARE SAYING
BRITTANY, MOTHER OF A 7 YEAR OLD
You know this book is a winner when your child wants to read it over and over again! A few days after originally receiving this book, my daughter requested that we get it back out. First, I read it to her again. Then we looked through the book a second time at all the pictures. We loved finding the hidden crosses on each page and were able to talk more as we went through the questions in the back. Then my daughter asked if SHE could read the story to ME! So there we were, going through the book for the third time in one sitting! The rhyming verses are fun, the illustrations are adorable, and overall this is just a perfect way to bring more Jesus into my family! As a mom, you can't ask for more than that.

Dear Lord Jesus addresses the questions that every child has regarding church. Reading through this book, I was impressed with the simple way the information is presented that will be easy for children to understand. At the same time, the activity and questions in the back of the book give an opportunity to delve deeper into the material and really discover and reflect on Christ's love. This book is one that can be utilized in homes and classrooms alike⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
SARA, SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER
LOVE this book! Super cute and simple explanations for why it is important to go to church. I love how you could tell the Jackie was speaking from the heart and how she would explain things to her own son. Perfect book for the youth. Great gift idea! Highly recommended! ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
In the book entitled "Dear Lord Jesus. why do I have to go to church" Jacqueline Kohls has addressed one of the problems or the new age theology that opines and asks, do I have to go to church to be a Christian, do I have to go to church to be saved. There are lots of baptized Christians who say that church is in the heart. There are lots of Christians who will give their children the choice to choose their own religion or decide if they would like to go to church when they are of age. These parents forget that they got it all wrong and thereby raising a generation of fireless and reckless Christians.
Jesus died on the cross for our salvation, so salvation is a serious business. We must not let the death of Jesus on the cross to be in vain, so we have to practice our faith. There are more than one thousand and one reasons why we should go to church regularly and not just when we want to. Hebrews 10:25 orders that we should not absent ourselves from the assembly of the faithful.
Jacqueline reminds us that going to church is an act of obedience to God as we keep to His command - Remember the Lord's Day (Exodus 20:8) It's our divine obligation to give honor to whom honor is due and to adore and worship Him in His holy church.
I see this book as a wakeup call to all non practicing Christians to keep to the Lord's command to worship Him in the divine assembly of the church at least every Sunday. This book is captivating and inspiring as it reminds both the young and the old the urgent need to go to church. I hereby recommend this book to all.
